Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Activities Manager to lead and elevate a world-class programme of water-sports, marine operations, wellness, and outdoor experiences within an exclusive ultra-luxury residential and hospitality environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing guest activities, managing a fleet of vessels, coordinating transfers and excursions, leading a small team, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, service and operational efficiency at all times.

The Activities Manager will play a key role in enhancing the overall guest experience, creating memorable experiences for homeowners and guests while ensuring all activities and marine operations are delivered safely and professionally within this VVIP resort like environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of all watersports, leisure activities and guest recreational experiences
• Manage and oversee the operation, maintenance and compliance of the property's boat fleet
• Coordinate guest, homeowner and staff transfers, excursions and marine logistics
• Ensure all activities are delivered to the highest standards of safety, professionalism and guest satisfaction
• Develop and introduce new activities, experiences and excursions to enhance the guest offering
• Oversee preventative maintenance schedules for vessels, equipment and recreational assets
• Manage departmental budgets, procurement, stock control and financial reporting
• Work closely with other departments to support guest itineraries, events and special requests
• Lead, train and develop the activities team, ensuring high performance and excellent service delivery
• Maintain full compliance with health & safety procedures, insurance requirements and operational standards
• Support wider estate and operational requirements during peak periods, events and homeowner visits

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced marine, watersports or leisure operations professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for guest experience.

• Previous experience in an Activities Manager, Watersports Manager or Marine Operations role within luxury hospitality, private estates, resorts, private islands or yachting
• Strong understanding of marine operations, vessel management, maintenance programmes and safety compliance
• Powerboat Level 2 licence (or equivalent)
• Experience managing teams within guest-facing environments
• Strong organisational and logistical planning skills
• Excellent communication skills with a professional, discreet and service-focused approach
• Demonstrable experience managing health & safety within operational environments
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
• Hands-on leadership style with a proactive and flexible attitude
• Watersports, first aid, lifesaving or other relevant activity certifications would be advantageous
